I took part in a workshop hosted by Mathias at a Film Event a couple weeks ago, and it was brilliant! Keeping a small group size makes a big difference as it gave everyone a chance to be heard (and network) and Mathias could offer tailored advice according to what we asked. The information from the workshop in general was great too, really informative and perfect for someone starting out in freelancing. His framework helps to remove the freefall feeling that can sometimes occur when stepping out into the freelance world and provides a strong structure even down to how often to be reaching out to potential clients per week. Mathias’ experience from both sides of the freelance world as both the freelancer and recruiter allowed him to provide really valuable insights into what recruiters are looking for, the areas which yield the most results and also how to manage our expectations with how long the process takes to expect to start yielding results which was super useful.
